OK, so I have some harvested yeast, Wyeast American ale II in the fridge, and I plan to do my signature "cream ale" this weekend. What exactly do I do with this stuff? I know I need a starter, but do I throw the whole jar in? or do I only pitch the yeast and mini-trub at the bottom of the jar? and discard the quasi-clear liquid at the top? or do I drink that and beat my chest? help!!!!

Heh I didn't read how to do this before hand, poured my whole harvest into my starter and only gave it about a day to ferment. Pitched it into my 1.052 wort, took it just shy of 24 hours to show signs of fermentation.
