Hi there,
This year I have the opportunity to harvest apple on old high apple tree.
The plan is to shake each tree, pick the apple on the ground, put the into a wood box (we say palox in French but I don't know the work in English) and store them for as long as we can, at least a week, before pressing it.
We will ofc not take any bad, black, bugged apple but as they will fall on the ground, they'll probably get injury and they will be store in a quite cold and ventilated room.
I was wondering, from experience you have, with this kind of harvest method, all long can we hope storing the apple? Will you advice to press it within a week or we can expect to keep it longer with reasonable loss?
