I just checked out mountianhomebrew. That's a rip off I get 1/2 gallon amber growlers for 2.50, and no to the priming sugar question.

Go to your local thrift store. I got about 6 or 7 of those french sparkling lemonade bottles, a bunch of grolsch bottles at ours. If you aren't in a hurry for them and don't need them to all be the same type, I you will be able to build up a pretty good stash(I don't need to buy flip tops for a long, long time!)

edit..those are the bottles..they were 99 cents a piece. I replaced the gasket and cleaned the heck out of them.
