Hey guys I was wondering.. Te speciality grains are they like growing wheat? I really want to start growing some of my favorites once I find a favorite beer lol

By specialty, do you mean like crystal, munich, chocolate etc?

Those are just 2-row barley. The different flavors all come from how they are malted and kilned. There are some threads around about how to malt and roast grains. You might want to get some plain 2row and practice on that before you go planting a whole field. You are going to need to farm an acre or so to get enough barley to brew once a month.
 
Read up on the malting process. It sounds like a real pain. I like the idea of growing your own ingredients, but I think I'll just keep buying sacks of malt from the LHBS and focus my energies on more important stuff, like making beer.
