Hello, all. I've been homebrewing for about two years now, but I'm only now stepping up the pace -- with a second carboy I want to have a beer fermenting pretty much all the time. As I live in a rental apartment in New York City, my username describes my brewing status -- I've pretty much got no kitchen to speak of and not a lot of space generally. That means I'm an extract brewer and not a kegger. Hoping to find some fun recipies, maybe get some help with problems (problem one: I sometimes get massive foam in the bottles and not enough in-beer carbonation), and of course make some friends.

I don't know the demographics here so I don't know where I fall. I'm 43, making a mid-career change, single but attached. Outside of the beer thing I like hiking, photography, travel, finding things to do in the city and fine dining.

So hello.
