Grain mill

Has anyone successfully used the kitchen aid all metal grain mill attachment, or is it impractical due to the quantity of grains we typically grind ?

For what they cost, you could buy a decent grain mill. Then you won't be taking a chance of breaking your wife's mixer.

I got my 5lb hopper cereal killer mill for about $50 from morebeer years ago. Works great and has milled hundreds of lbs of grain so far with good results. I think it would be cheaper to go this route unless you're brewing very small all grain batches. Even then I'd still just go with a real barley mill.
