Grain mill motor selection help needed (asap)

I'm looking (this afternoon) at a Craigslist motor. I believe it's around 1/2 hp. not sure yet. It's 120v 1725rpm.

I know I'll have to set up a belt and pully to reduce the speed. Is this a good plan?

Doing more research, I think I'm barking up the wrong motor such as it were. Anyone have any thoughts about recycling a scroll saw motor?
