Hi there. Craig here.

Im new to the home brew hobby! All ready addicted. Seems as though I cant brew enough beer. I have a little problem. Like I said, Im new to this and new to the southeast Ohio area. I was wondering if there were any really good east coast supply stores online? Right now Im ordering through homebrewheaven.com. A very good store, but its based out of Washington state so my shipping times are well over a week.

Any help to this, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Craig

Cheers

My go to store is brewmasterswarehouse.com. If you are looking for stores near you, I would think midwestsupplies.com and northernbrewer.com are the closest.

Just moved to Ohio from Pa. You from around the Hanover area? Used to get down that way alot to Lincoln Speedway.

I am about 2 hours east of Hanover. I am right near where PA, MD, and DE all come together.

Oh yeah, welcome to the hobby and the site. It gets addicting.

I'm in PA, but I've been extremely pleased with Midwest and especially Austin. Plan ahead, put together a good sized order, and take advantage of the flat rate shipping.
I like austins website and grain bill combination better.

I just moved to Ohio from the State College area about two months ago. Bought a kit and some glass carboys as an xmas present to myself lol. Im all ready addicted. Kind of went with everyone elses recipes to start, came up with my own wheat recipe and its the primary now. Getting a lil itchty to try it!

Who has the best shipping rates? I mean all these sites look good, but I know I got raped on shipping from homebrewheaven and midwest.

morebeer.com has free shipping on most orders over $59. It says 7-10 business days, but they regularly ship my stuff out a day after I order it and I get it with 5-7.

Austinhomebrew.com has $7.99 flat rate shipping for most of their items -- takes a bit of time to get your stuff but I have absolutely NO complaints about their customer service or quality of product (read: they are a great outfit and package everything carefully)

I've been eying rebelbrewer.com and brewmasterswarehouse.com.

Oh, if you're really addicted and plan on brewing a lot of beer this year, go for www.hopsdirect.com to buy hops in bulk. You gotta pick up about 4 pounds before shipping rates even out though.

Thanks guys. Seems as tho Im going to go with Brewmasters. They have a huge, great selection at the right price. Not to mention the low shipping cost!! Hope you dont disappoint Ed haha!!
