HA! I was just looking at a purchase from Puterbaugh Farms of some different bulk hops. I was searching all over on the forums to see if anyone had any experience using "US" Goldings in place of Kent. Hope you don't mind me bumping this topic for my own purposes... :D

All things being equal (ie: AA%), will any other Goldings hops come close to the same aroma/taste as that found in Kent Goldings?

There are small variations in Goldings, depending on where they are grown, but not enough to worry about.

Concur. Kent Goldings can be slightly different than Goldings grown elsewhere, but the differences are usually minor. Note that's only for the Goldings cultivar grown elsewhere, not differnet cultivars like Whitbread Goldings Variety (WGV); those can be a totally different animal.
