Hello HBT! I am stopping in Frankfurt while I am on my way to India. I have 1 day on the way, and 2 on the way back.

Any suggestions on local breweries? Other stuff to do?

I don't have a ton of time, but I want to get the most of it while I'm there.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Prost!

It's a bit of a beer desert from my research last year. Near the cathedral there is a paulaner tourist trap which is ok . For more modern beer, about a twenty minute walk north from the cathedral is Braustil . There is Naiv near the river for modern beer. If you can get to Darmstadt, there is a good bottle shop called Maruhn iirc.

I only spent a long weekend there last year, so there may well be more that I couldn't find.

Both Koln and Dusseldorf are a couple of hours away which have greater reps for beer (kolsch and alt obviously) but might be a bit of a stretch as you aren't there for very long

Thanks Hanglow. I'll check out the local places you suggested. Sadly too far to get to Dusseldorf...
