I brewed a clone of All Day IPA from AHS.
I did AG, and everything went perfect except:
I forgot to drop in the Whirifloc tablet during brew (drank too much home brew during brew session).
After 2 weeks in the primary, the Krausen dropped, but the beer was pretty murky.
I keg my beer, so I opted to cold crash w/ no results after 3 days in secondary.
I added gelatin fining to the secondary while it was in the fridge after the 3 day period.
after 24-48 hours of cold crash w/ gelatin, the top 3rd is clear, and the bottom 2/3rds is very murky (ugly), and it is still murky after 48 hours.
My question is this:
Am I ok to add more gelatin finings to the secondary to drop out the bottom 2/3's of trash, or should I just be patient and wait it out. After 2 years of home brewing, I still have a problem w/ patience. If I had added the Whirfloc tablet/Irish Moss to the brew this wouldn't be an issue, but it's too late for that now.
Any good advice is appreciated...thanks.
