Gelatin + Cold Crashing

I just added Gelatin for the first time to a brew. Made a blond for football season and want it to be super clear. I used a whirfloc tablet during the last 10 minutes of the boil...and just added gelatin to my 2ndary...should I cold crash it now or will that interfere with how the gelatin works? Thanks

I did this to my Kolsch...and it seems like it stopped the Gelatin from working right. I'd give it a few days at storage temp...then cold crash.

Nope...Gelatin only.

And as a side note, after lettign this warm up a bit for a few days....I kegged a pretty dang clear Kolsch.

.. which is pretty amazing considering those yeast are notoriously non-flocculant. How much gelatin did you use? 1 Tbsp?

Well....I used a package of Knox Gelatin...I'm not sure how much that is.

And I did not use Kolsch Yeast. It's us-05...that's why I call it Kolsh(ish)

I think those are 1 Tbsp. At least I assumed that when I used it.

I'm with you.. I would use a US-05/S-04 blend on a Kolsch recipe because I don't like the fruitiness of the Kolsch strain, but I like the fruitiness of the S-04.
