Hello!
Finally joined up after lurking for so long.
I am a brewer on Galveston Island, here in Texas.
I'm getting out of the Army and moving to the Island with my wife, who is already down there scouting out places for us, as soon as I get my final out here in a couple of months. I will leave the military having been in 11 years.
Going to be going to Galveston College and transferring into Rice or Houston, or just starting at Houston if they accept my application. Waiting to hear back from them.
I started homebrewing last year, after several years of looking in from the outside, kinda. But Iraq and other things got in the way every time that I started to want to get equipment together.
I mostly like to brew with wheat, or darker ales. I'm getting together my equipment for my AG setup, having started to get kegs to convert over (1 down, two to go!), and pricing out a brew table with local welders. I want to get a RIMs system going. It suits my gearheaded'ness.
I have brewed about 25 gallons so far this year, and I want to break 75 before the year is out.
Anyway, good to be here!
