just started and i notice the recipe calls for 1/2 oz challenger @ 7.2% alpha and 1/2 oz target @ 10.7% alpha. seems a shame to bust open both for just half.

next up on the hop schedule comes 1/2 oz kent golding @ 5.4% alpha and 1/2 oz northdown @5.7% alpha.

I know I know, its a clone. But has anyone played with anything close to this?

I guess that'll leave some leftover for dryhopping and some for my experimental bean beer but.....

any thoughts? the kettle is on but my ears (eyes) are open

My choice would be to just use more Challenger as I'm not crazy about Target. Anyways I would pick the one you like best and just use that one for the addition. You could use about 1.5 oz of Challenger there and use the other half ounce in place of the Northdown in the second addition if you want.
