This was a pretty interesting SMaSH. It's just 12 lb of Golden Promise mashed around 151 degrees, with 2 oz of Fuggles in the boil, 2 at 15 mins, 2 at flameout, and then another 2 dry hopped. Fermented around 67 degrees with Mangrove Jack's British Ale Yeast.

A good way to really taste Fuggles. There is definite earthiness in the aftertaste, but what I get a lot of is lemon (zest) and brown sugar. It's very light in color, of course, and the yeast had a lot less "British" character than I would expect (less ester-y, pretty clean in general).

Interesting beer, maybe not a top choice for brewing again, but very drinkable.
