It has a new 4000 watt 240 volt heating element new AWG 12-3 power cord, drain valve w/ pick-up tube, and sight glass.

Well constructed, versatile kettle. Located in Omaha metro area.

Fair warning: that vinyl hose (which doesn't even have a hose clamp to secure it to the nipple) is a MAJOR accident waiting to happen (even at mash temps) and spew hot liquid all over some thing and/or some one!

That said, IF it is a tubing capable of 158F+ temps, then rockin idea! Otherwise...

Doh! The guy just slipped a new piece of tubing over the barb to show how it works. Used tubing has become tan/brown/green. Maybe better to use a piece of silicone tubing, though.

But yes, the tubing needs a hose clamp to secure to the barb.

Yep, it is a new piece of tubing.

The old one was 4 years old, and while it was a little water stained, it was working quite well. No leaks as my HLT aka 185 degrees.
And without a hose clamp

Now, if I had been using it on a burner, way different story.
