I am using a recipe that calls for purée, but I like frozen better for taste and cost. Any thoughts as to how many pounds per gallon of beer, or how many pounds per recipe purée?

I would think it would also depend on what kind of fruit you are talking. I am sure you would use less raspberries than some other fruit that would have less flavor. I read on here that someone used a pound of frozen raspberries and it was too sour for them.
 
As long as you're measuring by weight, I think they can be used interchangeably. The water content should be about the same, I'd think (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Extraction of flavor from frozen fruit will almost certainly take a lot longer, though.
