I'm making a raspberry ale for my girlfriend, and added about 6 pounds of frozen raspberries about 3 weeks ago or so in the secondary. I just checked on it, and noticed that they have turned brown (which I assume is pretty normal). I haven't tasted it yet, but I'm curious...do people generally rack the beer off the fruit, or just leave it as-is?

Oh, and if I'm supposed to rack it again, and then let it age, is it okay to age it in a keg? I've got a friend who also wants get in to brewing, so I kind of need to free up one of my carboys...

When I did mine, I always racked to a 3rd carboy just to get it off the fruit and to let whatever I picked up in the racking settle down. No more than like 2-3 days - just enough to make sure things settle on the bottom. Then bottle/move to keg.
