I have two gallons of cider fermenting right now but I'm starting to get fruit flies swarming in my closet, for now I've wrapped a cloth soaked in bleach water around the caps to keep the flies away from the lids, but I'm worried about them getting into the airlocks.

Any solutions?

If you have a water based air lock you should be fine. A trick I use is half vinegar, half fruit juice and a touch of dawn in a cup. They fly in to eat it but the dawn keeps the water tension to 0 so they drown right away.

I tried every trick that I found online, the only thing that worked to eliminate them were the old fashioned fly strips, the nasty yellow sticky strips, within 2 days they were all gone.
