May be a stupid question, but just racked my beer on top of a pound(ish) of fresh cherries yesterday. I put in some campden tabs the day before and some beer to let them do their magic. My question is, in the secondary fermenter, will the cherries rot at all? They are floating on top of the beer right now and I'm planning on bottling in about 5 days. Any thoughts?
 
Yeah I figured that was true, but I did have them in the freezer for a day first... And now I have the air lock on the fermenter so I feel that could be fine? Not sure
