So I am trying my first lager (Oktoberfest) and had placed my secondary carboy (glass) into an old fridge in the garage at the lowest temperature. It has been in there for 5 days now, but when I checked on it this morning, about 2 inches of the top layer was frozen.

I thought I saw a topic on this previously, but wasn't able to find it.

Do I need to repitch more yeast? It spent 2 weeks at initial fermentation temps (50ish degrees) before going into the fridge to lager.

I'm hoping I didn't just screw this one up. :(

Thanks Teromous. This is what I saw but couldn't remember where I saw it! I knew I shoulda looked in the book.
