Greetings,

I've made a ginger hefe in the past and used 1/4 lb fresh ginger, that I ran through a food processor. The ginger taste was rather prominent and probably too much. I added the fresh ginger in the last 10 min of the boil, but this time I'm going to mix up the ginger with 2 cups water and create a tea then add it to the secondary. My question is, has any one out there successfully had a 'hint' of ginger? How much ginger did you use? and how did you use it in your beer? I've got a beer in primary right now that I'd like to add ginger too.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any suggestions.

Cheers

That's a LOT of ginger. Try one ounce added during the last five minutes.
