I usually store mine in buckets in the basement. I think freezing them might not do them any good, but I could be wrong. From what I gather, most people who buy their grains in bulk just store them in a basement or other temp stable area, but not freezing them.

Moisture is the biggest enemy of grains. I wouldn't put mine in the freezer unless they were vacuum sealed to prevent moisture getting to them. I buy 2-row in 50 lb sacks and just leave it in the sack. Of course, it only lasts a few weeks before I need a new sack.

Just put them in a zip-lock bag (the 1 gallon size fits about 3-4lbs each), and make sure to push out as much oxygen as possible when you seal the bags, then store them at room temp.

Uncrushed grains will stay for a good 3-4 months, crushed grains will last a good 4-6 weeks.
