Decided on an IPA for the fourth attempt at this... A few more toys (new Better Bottles, fermentation chiller, etc etc) and a little more info (late extract addition, higher volume boil, etc etc etc) and ended up with this after all was said and done...

made my yeast starter, pitched at about 71* and it is now just waiting...

maybe tomorrow i will start on that vanilla porter i got...
 
WOOHOO!!!

Five hours in and she be a bubblin' already... Guess my starter worked out well... Chiller is running a little cool (low 60's), I will cut down on the ice buckets in the lower chambers tomorrow...
