Every batch I have ever made I had added whirlfloc.
Today when boiling a smash the tab must have slid under my notes.
I did not realize this until I pitched yeast.

Can I boil a small amount of water do solve whirlfloc and add to beer during First 24 hours of fermentation?

Can I just crush and toss it in?

Or am I fine without it?

The taste will be the same. Clarity should be okay, maybe not crystal clear. Unless you were entering a competition, I wouldn't worry. :tank:

You never know, you might be happy with the results and find that you don't need to use it.
At the very least you will see what the difference is with and without it. That to me is gaining good experience.

Don't sweat the small things. Sanitation, healthy fermention and temperature control, that's what's important.
