Just got back from the new "Bond flick", it was ok, not as good as Casino Royale. Had a decent steak at Outback, now mabey some bits rubbin for dessert.:D

one other thing to mention before I have to leave for the night-

Right before dinner, a local car dealership called. While I was there getting a free oil change last week from winning a drawing, I entered their "100 anniversary drawing" and they called tonight. I won a $250 gift certificate to a local business of my choice. So, a free oil change, and a free $250 gift certificate!

When I told Bob, he told me that I should pick the grocery store! Well, I wasn't really thrilled with that. Until he said, "Why don't you then buy a barley crusher and 100#s of malt? That way, we break even, and the barley crusher and malt is basicially free?"

Did I mention that I love this guy? :rockin:

I love Bob too! :D great luck! And you know it makes sense to splash out on the fun stuff when you get a win like that! Kudos to ya!! :D

I don't know if I've heard three words more beautiful than "bacon wrapped venison" in a long while...

Oh, that is so going in my signature!

I found out some more today on how he cooked it. He marinated the venison tenderloin in some apple juice, then took a jalapeno with the tenderloin and wrapped bacon over both and grilled them. It was awesome- medium rare and so tender you could cut it with a fork.

(By the way, it was from a deer that I got with my bow back in October. Talk about a bit of a role reversal- I hunt, he cooks.)

He said he's making chicken today so when I get done hunting tonight (opening of gun season) it'll be ready.

I'm not even hungover today! Just a little tired, with a wee little bit of a headache. :D

Well, I'm gald you're not hungover or anything, considering you're going to be wandering through fields and forests with a gun!!!

Good luck!!!

I'm guessing that most of the people wandering through the woods tonight are mightily hungover. I heard it was quite a party scene in town last night.

My hunting foray today will consist of going out to my cottage and walking about 20 feet to my blind. So don't worry about the other hunters- but DO worry about the deer!
:rockin:

Just got in from field dressing a 9-pointer, it was opening day in Missouri as well. I'll let him hang for the day and work him up tomorrow into steaks and make some summer sausage. Off to tell stories and drink some home brew.

I don't worry about the deer...except that they don't lie down and die in front of my hunting friends....I'm too busy drooling over the possibility of my friends filling all their tags, and calling me up because they have more venison than they can deal with...:D

Well I think killing animals just for fun so you can slice them up and wrap them with jalapenos and bacon is just disgusting. If you think I'm wrong then I DARE you to send some in a cool box to me along with a suitable homebrew to match and dammit I'll prove to you how right I am.

BTW, Brother David's Triple from Anderson Valley is the shizzle! +1 on a slight headache. 10:58 here and I need some breakfast. As soon as I add one more quote to my sig that is. :D

Bob's a lucky guy! I hunt/cook/clean, and it's tough gettin' even a snuggle!

Three words: "Yooper's SWMBO School"

You'd be able to afford all the brewing gear you'd ever want!

Eric
