foamy beer

1 of my keg is giving me foamy beer, I think it's coming from a leak from the dip tube of the liquid line. The keg is full, will it be ok to purge it completely, open it, change the oring on the dip tube, put it back together, purge the air out and reset pressure to serving? Thx in advance.
