Floaters in starter wort from pot

I was making my starter wort, and saw in the boil little black flecks of whatever from the bottom of my POS pot. I cooled it to temp., and poured through a strainer into the flask, then put on stir plate.
I can still see little black flecks bombing around in there.
I haven't pitched my yeast yet.
Should I be concerned or nothing to worry as the boil would have killed anything.
Should I not pitch the yeast?
Time for new cookware.

But its not from the yeast - its from the coating on the bottom of my pot that I boiled the DME in.
 
That is not normal for 1056. If they specks are floating high they will be gone when you decant the starter wort. If they are sinking to the bottom they will be in the trub. Either way your beer will be okay.
