Hey guys I feel really dumb. I didn't know you were suppose to wait 5-7 days to add fruit into home brewed kombucha. Will it really make a huge difference? I have tried to look all over the internet to answer this but haven't had much luck. Just that it may affect my scoby. My scoby looks really good and healthy. It smells normal too. I ate part of a fermented strawberry and even it taste good. Next time I will wait 5-7 days but ..
is it okay to drink my kombucha this time around?

I'm new at this too but I can tell you this; my son just gave me a kombusha cook book and in it there are recipes that call for adding fruit at the beginning. In my next post I will include the title and author of the book. I'd say if you like this hobby it would be a good investment. There are so many things you can make from/with kombusha in this book it will blow your mind. Like jello, salad dressing, cocktails etc... But for now enjoy... Let us know how it turned out.
