Well all my cider endeavor have leaded me right in the wall.

I can take apple juice (sorry can't find anything else affordable here) and turn it into an alcoholic beverage but nothing that will make me looking to open the next bottle.

I like my cider dry and fruity. I tried a few recipe on here and the only thing I get is a dry / tart liquid which would be fine if only it had some taste to it. I have aged some bottle for month with little to no effect and get really discouraged at this point .

I was thinking on adding some apple flavoring to bring some taste to it and was wondering if any of you had any experience doing so.

I just split a 10g batch into two 5g batches. One I left dry, the other I gave a good dose of sorbate and k-meta and added a 12oz can off apple juice concentrate. I like both equally, but the one with the concentrate is sweeter, with a more pronounced apple flavor.
 
What are your ingredients and what is your process? Apple juice if made to be drunk unfermented over here tends to be less acidic and less tannic than juice pressed to be fermented. So, if you start with average ingredients you are not going to get a superlative cider.

What is the starting gravity? The finishing gravity? What yeast do you use? What temperature is your fermenter? Your fermenting room? How sweet is the cider? How long have you let it age? What is the TA? These are some of the questions I would need answered before I could offer any comment.
 
If you are making a dry, tasteless cider, the probable causes are the juice you are starting with, the yeast selection and the fermentation temperature.
 
You can add acid blend and tannin at the beginning to give it more depth in flavor.
