I am doing my 2nd ever batch a Northern Brown Ale ,Extract kit
Has anyone ever flavored a Brown Ale say with blueberry or rasberry?:mug:

I've done a pale ale with 4 lbs of raspberries. kept the hop schedule low, came out a nice ruby red color. full of raspberry, was a big crowd pleaser.

I can post recipe when I get home (if I can find it again-LOL)

I'm sure it could easily adapted to a brown... :tank:

here's my raspberry ale

3.3 lb can Edme DMS
3 lbs Munton & Fison unhopped extract
1/2 lb crystal malt (unknown lvb) steeped
1oz fuggles 4.5%aa 60 min
1oz tettnanger 3.8%aa 60 min
1/2 oz fuggles 1 min
irish moss
wyeast London ESB (pitched slurry from previous batch)
7/8 cup priming sugar

4lbs raspberries steeped in wort at end of boil for 15min
transfered berries to primary.

came out great! feel free to tweak recipe, post it so I can try yours.
the Wyeast London ESB is one of my favorite yeasts, and works really well in a fruit ale.
