I'm planning on buying some rhizomes for the first time. I've got a garden in my back yard that's almost perfect...a tall tree on one side (and a soon-to-be-pole on the other). I've got a couple questions, though.
I think I want to get 1 Mt. Hood, and 1 Magnum rhizome. Is there any particular hop that grows better where I am, or should I be fine? (I live in Southern Ohio - Zone 6)
How tall do I need my pole to run? I've seen a lot of people say 20', but I don't know if SWMBO will let me put a 20' pole in the back...Will a 10-footer be okay? (I can at least hide that pole near a crabapple tree in the back).
