So as I move to all grain I am attempting to make my own recipe. This is an attempt to make an IPA with a lot of fruity hop flavor but without the bitter kick of a 60 minute boil addition.

American IPA
OG: 1.061
FG: 1.014
SRM: 8.8
IBU: 62

Efficiency 70%

GRAIN

2-row pale malt- 11lbs- 80.3%
Munich 10L- 1 lb- 7.3%
Caramel 20L- 1 lb- 7.3%
Torrified Wheat- .7 lbs- 5.1%

HOPS

30 min:
1 oz. Chinook

20 min:
.5 oz Citra

15 min:
.5 oz Amarillo

5 min:
.5 oz Citra
1 oz Chinook

Dry Hop 7 days:
1 oz Citra

California Ale yeast.

Let me know what you think. :mug:

Any suggestions on a substitution for the caramel malt? Austin Homebrew doesnt seem to have just regular caramel.

Look for crystal 20. Same product different name.

Caramel/crystal malt are both the same and are measured on their level of kilning (10-120 commonly). Each have a different flavor and contribute different characteristics to your beer. Cheers!
