Just wanted to share. This weekend I put my first beer into the fermenter. It started bubbling about 24 hours afterward.

I'll post the recipe when I get home from work, but I was too excited to wait to post until I got home.

Sorry it took me so long to get the recipe up. Real life happens.

Here's what I brewed. I call it, the Pale Jimi Ale!

Boil 3.5 gal water place in fermenter

Boil 1.5 gal water and add:

1 t Gypsum
3.5 lbs Amber LME
2 lbs Amber DME
1 oz Centennial Hops (bitter)
.5 oz Pearle Hops (bitter)

Boil for 45 min.

Add
1 oz Cascade Hops (aroma)
1 t Irish Moss

Boil 15 min

Yeast: Safale US-05 - two packets

The target OG was 1.036, the actual is 1.039. The calculated IBUs are 57. I know it's a bit unbalanced on the Hops side, but that's what I like, so I'm OK with it.
