I brewed a Classic Vienna Lager, name of the recipe, out of the Jan/Feb issue of Zymurgy. It's been lagering for a month now, not sure what lagering is. Prior to this appeared to hit final gravity.

When I pulled out a sample today, there were lots of bubbles in the beer. It tasted great. I haven't noticed bubbles in the ales I've brewed. Is this normal for lagers? What are the bubbles about?

Is it too early to bottle? And was going to add bottling yeast, should I?

Thanks

Cooler fermenting/lagering temp may mean more residual CO2 staying dissolved in the beer.

...and off-gassing as it warms up and or is disturbed.

It is also possible your yeast is especially resilient and is going beyond calc'd FG, but I'd put my money on off-gassing.
