I just kegged my first homebrew. An autumn ale that was 1 month in primary (no secondary) and I keg hopped with Simcoe pellets. I chilled in the kegerator for three days at 38° and then hit it with 30 lbs. for about 30 hours. First pour was perfect and the beer tasted awesome! Now working on bottling from the keg. Downside is I will probably drink more beer than I usually do :tank: Oh well, small price to pay.

Congrats on your first keg. Sounds as though everything went well. My brewing/kegging routine is just about the exact same as you described. The only thing I'm going to do differently on my next two kegs (they will be served at Thanksgiving and brewed this weekend) is I'm going to try the set and forget method at serving pressure. Mainly just a practice in patience.

Welcome to the club!
