After some successes with my first few batches, I've decided to try my luck with a recipe that I half created/half cobbled together [i.e. stole] from other recipes :D

I'm hoping that the end result is something close to Stone's IPA, but I'm not necessarily trying to make an exact clone. Since this is the first time I'm not following someone else's recipe, I just wanted to get people's reactions as to whether there was anything that looked out of place for a strong, hoppy IPA. Thanks for the advice!

I'd avoid the .75 oz dry hop of Centennial and just dry hop with 1.5 oz of cascade

but that's for someone like me who usually buys hops by the oz. This would give you 1 oz Chinook, 1 oz Centennial, and 3 oz Cascade

Good call - I obviously messed up my math by doing this too quickly. Think I'll cut back the Cascade at flame-out to .75 oz and increase the centenniel at 15 mins to .50. That way I'll end up with 1 oz chinook, 2 oz of each cascade and centenniel. Thanks for catching before I stopped by the LHBS.

yeah, that should work as well. I'm still into the convenience of things, so if I purchase 1 oz of hops, I'll use the whole thing.

Maybe someday I'll get more into the AA%/IBU side of things -- oh wait, I have 4 lbs in the freezer! (1 lb Warrior, 1 lb Williamette, 2 lb Cascade)

Let us know how this one turns out! :mug:
