So back in December I brewed my first all grain beer (an Irish red). I thought it tasted pretty good and so did my wife and friends. So I thought I would enter it into a competition (The Minnesota Mashout). I mostly did this just so I could get it tasted and maybe some notes to improve upon next time. Well the results came in the mail today. And it scored a 41 and placed 3rd in the Irish category. So now I have a medal to hang in my bar area. I never thought that would happen, and I just wanted to share my excitement. Thanks to everyone on here for all the great info and advice. Maybe I'll stick with all grain after all haha.:beer:

I didn't judge it but think I tasted this over the weekend. Either way, very impressive showing at one of the biggest competitions in the country. Congrats!
