Hey all- created my first extract recipe last week. Wanted to run it by you. I call it "LOA IPA"

Targets
OG- 1.048
FG- 1.012
IBU- 71
SRM- 7
ABV- ~4.7%

6.6 lbs Pale LME
1 lb Caramel 20L
1 lb Light Munich
1/2 lb White Wheat

1oz Cascade (60 min)
1oz Lemondrop (flameout)
1oz Simcoe (20 min whirlpool at 170)
1oz Amarillo (20 min whirlpool at 170)
2oz Lemondrop (Dryhop 7 days)
2oz Citra (Dryhop 4 days)

1 tablet whirlfloc
4tsp yeast nutrient

1 sachet US-04

Bring water to 155 deg F- Steep for 25 min
Bring to boil
Add fermentables
Follow hop schedule
Boil 60 min
Chill to 170- Add hops
Chill to pitching temp


Can you give me your thoughts on the above? Its already fementing right now and smells amazing, so I'll give you my initial thoughts in another 2 weeks or so!

Well you actually did a partial mash, which is what you should do with munich and wheat. It was a short one but hopefully enough to get some conversion, how much water did you "steep" in? Did you measure a gravity? You might have been more mid 1.050's if your mash did okay. Which might be good because it looks pretty bitter for a low gravity beer.
