Patience and lots of studying has paid off...at least in the brewing process. My first brew (Midwest Supplies Porter) is now in the fermentor. The hydrometer sample tasted pretty good, and was perfectly in range at 1.044.

Good job

I agree patience and studying does pay off, with an excellent brew im sure you will enjoy shortly.

Finally got around to cracking open the bucket and taking a look. Hydrometer reading was at 1.014 after 4 weeks (this past Saturday). Will check check again tonight and possibly bottle tonight. Looked, smelled, and tasted great too. So far, so good.

Finally bottled this. 5 weeks in the primary. Pretty patient for a first timer. Got 49 12oz and 1 22oz bottles. 3 weeks until tasting. Just in time for V-day.
