Brewed up NB's British bitters. Everything went well I think, but, the cork on my carboy wont go down and seal like I'd hoped. Is it supposed to just sit on top and not go down into the neck of the carboy?

:drunk:

Rick

If you are using star san the. stopper will be very slippery. Carefully dry the mouth of the carboy and the stopper with paper towel and it will go in and stay there.

Don't push too hard with it wet or it may end up in the carboy......

ask me how I know this.....

There is a cool trick to get it out after fermentation is over..."....

BTW... conrats on the first brew. Welcome to the addiction.

Yes, I did use Star-San. I'll dry the cork and neck and get it "in there".

Thank you, sir! :)

Rick.

Thanks guys, it's been fun thus far.

Now I need to order more carboys so I can get some more brews going. :cross:

Wait till you get to taste that beer the first time!
You wil be very eager to try new types.

More carboys definitely help with your pipeline. Started 5 months ago and I'm already up to a fermentation capacity of 21 gallons... lol I just wish I had more $$.
