It's been probably two months since I brewed. I'm about to run out, so I had to make it a priority. I took the day off and brewed in the AM. Instead of leaving the house at 6:30, I went to start making beer. Six hours later, I was done, and now I have an IPA, a Stout, and an Apfelwein fermenting (or about to ferment) in the basement. It's possible the "I might have to buy beer" crisis has been averted. We'll see.
I hit my numbers, and all went well. Both beers are about 1.066. Plus I got some quality time with my 5 year old son during much of the brew day. I also managed to avoid the 3 year old from sneezing in the wort. I even got around a half an hour of downtime during the second boil.
