It went fairly well. I missed OG by a couple points (target was 1.047-1.052, and I ended up with a 1.045) but nothing I'm going to stress about. I think I pitched yeast a little too soon too. The wort was about 82 degrees but I'm not sure.

Does anyone else have problems with their thermometers lying? I have 3. One I have had for years, a new one that came with a bunch of stuff I ordered from more beer, and a digital. I get a 10 degree spread at around 170 degrees...

All in all, not a bad day.

Where I live water boils at 210.5 degrees. I always boil water and check my thermometer reading before I mash in. It reads 209 - 210 everytime so I adjust my mash temp according to how low the thermometer is reading. If it reads 209 and I want to mash at 152 I'll start the mash at 150.5

Welcome back to brewing.
