first bottling!

Hi do i need to keg my brew from fermenting vessel before bottling?
Also i've just kegged my 1st ever brew and have turned the tap to have a little taste and it produces loads of head....If i unscrewed the lid and then tried to bottle via the tap would it stop foaming as to bottle this would be a nightmare..cheers..

There is no need but if you want to bottle from keg you can try the BMBF:

As for foam, there could be plenty reasons for that... Did you balanced your system right (line length, temperature, pressure..)?
