This is my first solo batch after assisting my brother with a few Brew in a Bag and All Grain recipes.

I got an Mr. Beer 8Lx as a gift (included Pilsner HME), and I want to brew something that I'll enjoy, rather than a straight "Pilsner." That being said, based on what I've read on the forums, my plan is as follows: (All ingredients from Mr. Beer.)

1 Can Grand Bohemian Czech Pilsner HME
1 Smooth LME Softpack
1 oz US Saaz Hops
1 pack Safale S-04

Boil 4 cups water, mix in LME, and return to boil for 30 minutes.
Add .25oz Saaz @ 20 minutes
Add .25oz Saaz @ Flameout
Mix in HME and steep for 10 minutes before placing brew pot in ice bath.
Follow Mr. Beer directions for adding water to fill fermenter to appropriate level.
Once cooled to 65° pitch yeast.
Dry hop with .5oz Saaz after 14 days in fermenter, for 7 days.
Carbo drops for bottle conditioning (3 weeks).

Please let me know if you have any recommendations or questions.

That sounds very solid to me. When I brewed with MrBeer, I mostly used their mixes straight up. I never was completely satisfied with those results, but I've read of many others adding some extract and hops for better beer. Your additions sound quite reasonable. Let us know how it turns out.
