Hello everyone, this is my first post and I have a question about my first batch of mead. I am doing Joes ancient orange mead and it seems that some yeast went up through the airlock...will this pose a problem...it seems to be fermenting well...anyway, thanks for the help!

So I can just remove the air lock and clean it?

Even easier if you removed half or a pint and keep it in a separate sanitised bottle in the fridge until the ferment has slowed right down then add it back in........

Yup I agree with this. When using small mouthed jugs it is could to keep some of the mead in the fridge and after a few days you can add it back to the main jug. That keeps it from overflowing into the airlock.

And by doing this...should I put an airlock on the jug in the fridge?
