Finished up late last night. Did get a few comments about the odor....Oh well.
It is a True Brew All Malt Pale Ale. Had a "few" Sierra Nevada Pale Ales while brewing! Checked on the activity the AM and airlock was burping every second so quite active so far. Did not do SG tests! Next time.
Anyone brew this kit? Likes/Dislikes

Also, started an "Inmate Brew" one week ago. Hard Cider from apple juice. I used regular bread yeast; 1.5 cups sugar and juice from cooked raisins for yeast nutrient. This is still active so will be waiting probably one more week before a taste test.

Thanks for listening!
Cheers!

I would never expect much from a kit, they tend to lack in flavour. Getting used to what you're doing and finding what you like to brew is much more important at this stage though, I've ended up pretty much just brewing strong sweet wines to take to parties etc. Good luck with it all! Hope it all goes well, just in time for new years too :)

Thanks for the reply!
Yes I will use kits as a stepping stone as you said. Get procedures down pat etc. Years ago I had a chance to try some Bass Ale. Very good!
Did some Geneology work and found that on my Dad's side my ancestors (Berry) came from England! Sure would like to visit some day!

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

congrats on the first batch!! we are brewing our 9th or so kit tomorrow and have been very happy with each of the batches. may not have the flavor of the more complex brews but having not done one of those can't compare.

we've used the brewers best kits and with all the different brews to select from we'll be trying those for a while longer. you're still brewing beer and ending up with some tasty brews!
