Hi y'all this is my first mead attempt, it's a JAOM and up to yesterday everything seemed normal but today when I looked at it it had a foam on top of it, is this normal?

I put my first mead together about two months ago - two one gallon carboys filled with JAOM - I'm currently waiting for the fruit to drop.

My mead looked like that, and in my (very) limited experience, I'd say it looks completely normal.

Thanks I am glad to hear that I was pretty worried because of how excited I am to drink it!

I wouldn't get too excited just yet (I'm learning patience myself, very hard learning curve for me) by most accounts it won't be really enjoyable until it's aged about 6 months, which apparently is quick for mead.
