First All Grain

Well finally I have moved into all grain. I made my first batch yesterday. It was a Cream Ale. All went well and my starting gravity was 1.042 I think it is about were it should be. This is a 5 gallon batch.

7 Ibs. Rahr 2 Row Pale
.75 Ibs gambrinus Honey Malt
.25 Lbs Belgian Biscuit Malt

Wyeast 1056 American Ale

Know why for a very small beer I would get so much kroisin. Sorry for my spelling.

Either because you have real healthy yeast or your temps are too high, or both

What size is that carboy?

It is a 6 gallon carboy and the temp mite be a little high as it is 70 degrees.

You should be fine at that temp. I try to keep my temps between 64-68 for ales.
