Once you start KEEP NOTES as to temps in the mash, water amounts lost to grain, and boil for next brew improvements. Read instructions twice....Good luck it's not so hard.
Pay attention to the guidelines of grist ratio. Too much or too little water in the mash can greatly affect both Original Gravity, and Final Gravity. Don't get in a hurry.
